Based at Texas A&M University Galveston, TIO provides matching and startup funds for researchers and helps to provide multi-user facilities for projects related to TIO's five focal areas: marine life sciences, climate studies, engineering studies of beaches and shores, shelf and coastal oceanography, and marine policy.
