997 A.D. Stone Inscriptions Found in Tamil Nadu
From the Hindu, bilingual inscriptions in Tamil `vatteluttu' and Sanskrit in Grantha letters engraved on an outlet stone of a big lake has been found at Madakkulam village near Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar district.
