The Lenoir City Cotton Mill
History of the Lemoir Cotton Mill in Lenoir City, Tennessee, founded around 1820 by Major William B. Lenoir, nearly burned down in 1863, by troops under the command of General W. P. Saunders, and continued operations until the late 1890's. Its ruins were placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
