Acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN) is a variant of Guillain Barre Synrome. It is characterized by acute paralysis, loss of reflexes without sensory loss. Pathologically, one can observe motor axonal degeneration with antibody mediated attacks of motor nerve and nodes of Ranvier.
