Alanta – (ialectal Aukštaitian name Alunta) is a small town in Lithuania, in Molėtai district. It is situated on a crossroad of two roads: Molėtai–Anykščiai and Utena–Alanta–Ukmergė. The town has its St. Jacob's church (built in 1909). There are 2600 people living in the elderate of Alanta and more than 450 live in Alanta.
