Alnön is an islan in the Gulf of Bothnia just outside Sundsvall in Medelpad, Sweden. It has an area of 65 km2 and a population of ,7951 (2005-12-31), in the summertime that would be doubled. The island were made for 570 million years ago threw vulcanic activity in the area.The island is 15 km long and 6 km wide on the widest spot. Settlement is pretty good scattered over the island, but has the most concentrate around the bridgehold in Vii (around 4.700 inhabitants)
