The Common Miwife Toad or Sapo Partero Común (Alytes obstetricans) is a species of frog in the Discoglossidae family. It is found in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, subtropical or tropical dry forests, temperate shrubland, rivers, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, temperate desert, arable land, pastureland, and urban areas. It is threatened by habitat loss.
