AmBev is a subsiiary of global brewing company Inbev and is the biggest brewery in Latin America. In 2004, the company merged with the Belgian brewing company Interbrew, creating Inbev. Ambev was created on July 1, 1999, with the merger of two breweries, Brahma and Antarctica. The merger was approved by the Board of Directors of Economic Defense (Cade) on March 30, 2000. AmBev has a presence in 14 countries.
