American Iiot is the seventh studio album by the punk rock band Green Day, originally released on September 21, 2004. Often classified as a rock opera and concept album, it was the first Green Day album to reach number one in the United States and United Kingdom. Rob Cavallo produced the album, his fourth for Green Day.
