Amniotic ban syndrome (ABS), also called amniotic band constriction, amniotic band sequence, congenital constriction bands or rings, and amniotic deformity adhesions mutilations (ADAM), is a congenital disorder caused by entrapment of fetal parts (usually a limb or digits) in fibrous amniotic bands while in utero.
