Ankylosaurus (pronounce /ˌæŋkɪloʊˈsɔrəs/, meaning 'rigid lizard') is a genus of ankylosaurid dinosaur, containing one species, A. magniventris. Fossils of Ankylosaurus are found in geologic formations dating to the very end of the Cretaceous Period in western North America.
