Polychrotiae is a family of lizards commonly known as Anoles (pronounced /əˈnoʊli/). Some authorities (such as NCBI ) place the anoles in subfamily Polychrotinae of the family Iguanidae. Four genera are common: Anolis, Norops, Phenacosaurus and Polychrus.
