Aquent LLC is a employment agency heaquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1986 by Harvard University classmates John Chuang, Steve Kapner, and Mia Wenjen, Aquent, then called MacTemps, was the subject of a Harvard Business School case study , which focused on building loyalty in the contingent workforce. Aquent gained recognition in the early 1990s as one of the first employment agencies to offer temporary workers accessible and affordable health benefits. With the emergence of the "talent economy" in the late 1990s, Aquent was identified by Fast Company as "perhaps the most robust and fully articulated example of a company that's reckoning with a world in which human capital functions like financial capital."
