Arch Enemy is a Sweish melodic death metal band, formed in 1996 by Carcass guitarist Michael Amott along with Johan Liiva, both originally from influential death metal band, Carnage. The band has released seven studio albums, a live album, three EPs, and a DVD (Live Apocalypse). The band was originally fronted by Johan Liiva; frontwoman Angela Gossow joined as lead vocalist in 2001.
