Aspergillus flavus is a mol fungus. It is a pathogen, associated with aspergillosis of the lungs and sometimes believed to cause corneal, otomycotic, and nasoorbital infections. It is believed to be allergenic and sometimes causes losses in silkworm hatcheries.
