A balun, pronounce /'bæl.ʊn/ ("bal-un"), is a passive electronic device that converts between balanced and unbalanced electrical signals. They often also change impedance. Baluns can take many forms and their presence is not always obvious. They always involve some form of electromagnetic coupling.
