Banyuls (Appellation 'Origine Contrôlée) is a fortified aperitif or dessert wine made from old vines cultivated in terraces on the slopes of the Pyrenees in the Roussillon (Northern Catalonia) wine region of Southern France, which borders Southern Catalonia in Spain.
