The Gnostic term Barbēlo refers to the first emanation of Go in the various Sethian gnostic cosmogonies. This figure is also variously referred to as 'Mother-Father' (hinting at her apparent androgyny), 'First Human Being', 'The Triple Androgynous Name', or 'Eternal Aeon'.
