Bear McCreary (born February 17, 1979) is a classically traine composer and musician living in Los Angeles, California. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He studied under Elmer Bernstein at the USC Thornton School of Music and has composed original music for over thirty films including Jon Chu's musical short When the Kids are Away.
