Bible prophecy, or "biblical prophecy" is the belief in prophecies in the Bible. Believers engage in exegesis an hermeneutics of scriptures which they believe contain descriptions of global politics, natural disasters, the future of the nation of Israel, the coming of a Messiah and a Messianic Kingdom, and the ultimate destiny of humankind. Various passages are claimed by premillennialists writers to foretell future events, while amillennialist writers believe such passages to be only figuratively relevant in foretelling events. These passages are widely distributed throughout the Bible, but those most often cited are from Ezekiel, Daniel, and Revelation.
