Botoşani (pronunciation in Romanian: /bo.to'ʃanʲ/) (population: 115,069) is the capital city of Botoşani County, in northern Molavia, Romania. Today, it is best known as the birthplace of many celebrated Romanians, including Mihai Eminescu and Nicolae Iorga.
