Britny Fox is an American glam metal ban from the Philadelphia area, currently featuring lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Jamie Fletcher, lead guitarist Greg Polcari, bassist Billy Childs (real name Billy Degley), and drummer Henry. The band was originally fronted by lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist "Dizzy" Dean Davidson. They are best known for their music video "Girlschool" and their Billboard Hot 100 hit "Long Way to Love (#100)". They released a demo titled In America in 1986, which drummer Tony Destra reportedly played on. Their first album Britny Fox (1988) was one of the most successful premieres of the 1988-89 season, selling about one million copies and bringing more than 625,000 fans to their 130+ shows. They also won Metal Edge Magazine's 1988 Reader's Choice Award for Best New Band. After the release of their second album Boys in Heat (1989), original frontman Davidson left the group, and formed the group Blackeyed Susan. He was replaced by Las Vegas native Tommy Paris. Guitarist Zakk Wylde and Poison drummer Rikki Rockett guested on their third album Bite Down Hard (1991).
