Camille Anna Paglia (born April 2, 1947 in Enicott, New York) is an American social critic, author and teacher. Her book, Sexual Personae: Art and Decadence from Nefertiti to Emily Dickinson , published in 1990, became a bestseller. Since 1984 she has been a Professor at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
