Caratacus (Brythonic *Caratācos, Greek Καράτακος; variants Latin Caractacus, Greek Καρτάκης) was a historical British chieftain of the Catuvellauni tribe, who le the British resistance to the Roman conquest. He may correspond with the legendary Welsh character Caradoc and the legendary British king Arvirargus.
