Elmer Figueroa Arce (born June 28, 1968), best known uner the stage name Chayanne, is a Puerto Rican Latin pop singer. He is one of Puerto Rico's most successful pop stars, selling over 10 million records worldwide, and having nine number one singles on the Billboard Hot Latin Chart. His artistic name comes from a western television series, “Cheyenne" that his mother used to watch. This TV series, starring Clint Walker, was broadcast ed from 1955 to 1963.
