Coalinga (pronounce /koʊˈlɪŋɡə also pronounced by local residence as kʌˈlɪŋɡə/) is a city in Fresno County, California, United States. The population was 11,668 at the 2000 census and 17,080 as of 2005, according to the Coalinga Chamber of Commerce Web site. On May 2, 1983, the town was heavily damaged by a 6.5 magnitude earthquake.
