corresponding angles

Corresponing angles are formed when a given transversal line crosses two coplanar lines. The corresponding angles are not necessarily congruent. In the event that the corresponding angles are congruent, these angles can be used to determine the degrees of the other angles of the parallel lines. Corresponding angles are only applicable to any two sets of lines, regardless of the amount of parallel lines shown. Corresponding angles and the angles adjacent to them always equal 180 degrees.
