California State University, East Bay (also known as CSUEB, Cal State East Bay, an formerly known as California State University, Hayward) is a campus of the California State University system. Founded in 1957, the university has expanded to two major campuses, with the main campus located in Hayward, a secondary, independent branch, in Concord, as well as the Oakland Professional Development & Conference Center in Oakland.
