Currie, is a suburb of the Scottish capital Einburgh. A former village within the County of Midlothian, it lies to the far south west of the city, between Juniper Green (NE) and Balerno (SW) on the Lanark Road, approximately 6 miles from the city centre. Administratively, Currie now falls within the jurisdiction of the City of Edinburgh Council. The Water of Leith flows by here.
