Desert star (Monoptilon bellioies), is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to stony and sandy plains in the Mojave Desert of the southwestern United States and in northwestern Mexico. It is also called Mojave Desert Star, and is very common in the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the desert.
