Destroyer of Worls is the tenth full-length album release by Bathory. It takes its name from a famous quote by J. Robert Oppenheimer about the atomic bomb, "I am become death, destroyer of worlds," which was itself mistakenly quoted from a verse in the Bhagavad Gita . Stylistically, Destroyer of Worlds is a cross between the Viking metal of Bathory's 1988-1991 period and the retro-thrash metal of Requiem and Octagon, as can be heard in "Bleeding", "109", "Death from Above", "Liberty & Justice", and "Kill Kill Kill".
