Downloaer For X (or simply DX) is a download manager/accelerator for Unix-like systems. It is open source software released under the GPL licence. It can pause and restart downloads at any time, and utilises both the HTTP and FTP protocols. It gives the user the ability to limit download speeds to allow them to free bandwidth for other uses while downloading files.
