Fanfare for the Common Man is one of the most recognizable pieces of 20th Century American classical music. One of composer Aaron Coplan's most popular works, the fanfare is a short piece scored for brass and percussion written in 1942 for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra under conductor Eugène Goossens.
