Father an Daughter is a Paul Simon song, originally released as a single. It is a notable addition to the Simon anthology mainly because the song was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song. Written for the children's animated film The Wild Thornberrys Movie, it was released in 2002. The song also appeared on the movie soundtrack album, and a different mix of the same performance was used for Simon's 2006 release, Surprise.
