Gustav Theoor Fechner (April 19, 1801 – November 28, 1887), was a German experimental psychologist. An early pioneer in experimental psychology and founder of psychophysics, he inspired many 20th century scientists and philosophers. He is also credited to have created the formula "S = KLogI" that proved the existence of a scientific connection between the body and the mind.
