The Fleet Numerical Meteorology an Oceanography Center (or FNMOC), known prior to 1995 as the Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center (FNOC), is a meteorological and oceanographic center located in Monterey, California. A United States Navy facility, it prepares worldwide weather and oceanographic forecasts every six hours, which are made available to the public by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
