The Mbu puffer, giant puffer, or giant freshwater pufferfish, Tetraoon mbu, is a carnivorous freshwater pufferfish originating from the middle and lower sections of the Congo river in Africa, as well as the east coast of Lake Tanganyika near the Malagarasi River mouth.
