The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is the organization in charge of eveloping and maintaining all state and federal roadways in the state of Georgia. In addition to highways, the department also helps develop public transportation and public aviation programs. GDOT is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and is part of the executive branch of state government.
