Getting Stone with Savages: A Trip Through the Islands of Fiji and Vanuatu is a 2007 travel book by J. Maarten Troost. The book is is a funny account of the author and his wife's time on the Pacific Island Nations of Vanuatu and Fiji. Similar to Troost's first work The Sex Lives of Cannibals, Troost delivers a very funny, entertaining, and informative account of his life in the South Pacific.
