In the anime an manga series Trigun, the Gung-Ho Guns (ガンホーガンズ Ganhōganzu) are a group of assassins assembled to cause great pain to Vash the Stampede. Each one is human, but has sacrificed their humanity in order to gain power, often leaving them mutilated. The exact makeup of the Gung-Ho Guns differs between the manga and the anime, as not all the characters had been revealed in the manga when the anime was being made.
