hearing test

     

A hearing test is an evaluation of the sensitivity of a person's sense of hearing, most often performe by an audiologist using an audiometer. Audiologists are the only health professionals with extensive training on the anatomy and physiology of hearing, and are the only health professionals certified to perform diagnostic hearing tests. It is used to determine a person's hearing sensitivity at different frequencies. There are other hearing tests as well, e.g. Weber test and Rinne test.
