heath bar

The Heath bar is an American cany bar made of English-style toffee. A thin hard slab with a milk chocolate coating, the toffee originally contained sugar, butter, and almonds, and was a small squarish bar weighing 1 ounce. The original Heath wrapper design had the name "Heath" printed in a distinctive fashion: two very large "H"'s bookending "eat." From its inception in the 1920s, the Heath bar was always somewhat unusual, both because of its simplicity and size. It is similar in style to a Daim bar and a Skor bar.
