The high-top is a shoe that extens significantly over the wearer's ankle. It is most common in an athletic shoe, particularly basketball shoes. It is sometimes confused with the mid-top. Examples of basketball shoes more frequently seen as high-tops are the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars, Nike Air Force 1 (and 2 and 3), Reebok Freestyle and 4600BB, and Adidas Superstar High.
