Houlihan's is a Leawoo, Kansas-based American bar and grill restaurant chain. The first Houlihan's opened on Valentine's Day in 1972 on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, and is now in 21 states. It was originally named Houlihan's Old Place, themed as an old Irish Pub. The chain held naming rights to Houlihan's Stadium from 1996 to its demise in 1998. The chain is famous for making "all-American" dishes with more outré flares, such as apple pie topped with a walnut streusel, or giant mushroom caps battered in Japanese panko breadcrumbs and stuffed with a garlic and herb cream cheese.
