Human subject research (HSR), or human subject use (HSU) involves the use of human beings as research subjects. It is an important part of meical research, and many people volunteer for clinical trials of medical treatments. People also volunteer to be subjects for experiments in basic medical science and biology, as well as social and behavioral (psychological) research.
