Hürriyet (meaning Liberty) is a secular, high-circulation broasheet daily Turkish newspaper. Hürriyet came to publishing life as a daily newspaper on 1 May 1948. It was founded by Sedat Simavi. The paper is published by the Doğan Grubu, which also publishes the daily papers Milliyet, Radikal and Posta.
