İbrahim Tatlıses (born İbrahim Tatlı in 1952, affectionately known as İbo) is a singer of mixe Arab and Kurdish background born in the town of Şanlıurfa in Turkey. Tatlıses is one of Turkey's most prolific recording artists. His twenty-three albums include Ayağında Kundura (which broke all sales records in Turkey in 1978), and Selam Olsun (which focused on traditional folk music played on indigenous instruments). He hosts a popular television program İbo Show and has appeared in several dozen films. In recent years he has become more popular in the Middle East as well as countries such as the United Kingdom and Germany.
