  • In the open sea where the Labrador Current meets the Gulf Stream, fog makes these even more of a shipping hazard
  • Most of these in the Northern Hemisphere have broken off from Greenland
  • Tracking these, coast guard rates them as bergy bits, growlers, small, medium, & large
