The Iowa State Cyclones represent Iowa State University in college football. The team competes in the northern ivision of the Big 12 athletic conference in the NCAA's Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. The Iowa State Cyclones play home games in Jack Trice Stadium, a stadium named after a player who fatally succumbed to injuries incurred while playing for the Cyclones in 1923. The Cyclones are based out of Ames, Iowa. The stadium is currently under a major renovation which will include dozens of new luxury suites, broad new concourses, and bowling in the south end-zone. Renovations are scheduled to be completed for the 2010 season.
