IvyWise is a for-profit New York-base consultancy that assists students pursuing admission to schools at the collegiate and private secondary levels. IvyWise is run by Katherine Cohen, who has a Ph.D in Latin American literature from Yale University. In 2002, she published a book called "The Truth about Getting In: A Top College Advisor Tells you Everything You Need To Know", detailing her methods. Her cost runs the gamut from pro-bono work to as high as $28,000.
